I hope the summer and year have been productive for your organization and this note finds you well. This year has been an interesting news season as it seems we were a part of the economic collapse, perhaps the biggest issue of 2009. With that in mind, the time has come to start picking submissions for the 2010 New York Association of Black Journalists Awards which will be held next February at Columbia University. Click on the link to download an entry form which includes information about rules and category criteria. Entries must be published or broadcast from October 1st, 2008 through September 30, 2009.
The deadline for submissions this year will be Saturday, October 31st 2009.Every year NYABJ celebrates the best in journalism in Print, TV, New Media and Radio as well as the lifetime accomplishments of veterans who have and continue to set great examples for young journalists. NYABJ also remains committed to raising money for scholarships and professional development programs.
