NYABJ
wants to help future journalists excel
Our
annual eight-week journalism workshop
for high school students helps to
build a foundation for understanding
the newsgathering process. We are
also working to start the city's first
college chapter by helping students
organize.
But NYABJ
knows that education doesn't come
cheaply and that we must do more than
simply encourage students
to pursue careers in journalism.
That's why over the last two
decades NYABJ has bestowed
more than $55,000 in scholarships
to 300 area black college, high school
and junior high students.
