NABJ’s newest project, the Producer Database, will have the strongest journalism job directory in the country.
The database will serve as a portal where members can:
-upload their resumes and work samples for employers
-receive job listings
-connect with news managers
In an effort to populate the portal, NABJ will be launching a contest. They are asking chapter presidents to encourage their members to scour their newsrooms and get producers to join the database.
Presidents must keep a list of members they recruit so that the chapter will get credit for the new names. The NABJ Producer Database committee will confirm entrants to the database.
The first chapter to recruit 10 new producers by Aug. 31 wins a $300 CASH PRIZE. New members must upload their resumes, work samples and/or reels and write a compelling description of their work.
Entries must be received by Aug. 31 at 5 p.m. PST.
